Electric Competition Price Wars: A brief example

On Monday, the lowest residential price offer in the Oncor service territory was 8.0¢/kWh, offered by Dynowatt.

Then on Tuesday, another retail electric provider (Abacus) began offering a 7.9¢/kWh variable price.

Today, both Dynowatt and Abacus are offering 7.8¢/kWh in the Oncor region.

These are just two offers available in the competitive market. Consumers interested in checking out offers in their service territory should visit Power to Choose, the PUC’s electric choice Web site.
